Do The Right Thing

What does it mean "just do the right thing" ?

This is a question that come up on a daily basis. When I come to a stop sign that I know their is no traffic to be concerned about or a “LEO” Law Enforcement Officer. This is just a very blatant example. I must admit there have been occasions that I have not stopped but continued on with a “California roll”.

This a very common occurrence, I want to do the right thing but it is just a little thing. It is not like that I am in a hurry, I just don’t. How about another example very small thing with two different out comes. Trash, a paper wrapper or a glass bottle. The disposing of these two different containers can have a different consequences if not put in a proper receptacle. Glass can be broken, and may hurt someone, paper would have to be picked up. What about food? This is really a good question. What could be so bad for throwing a banana peel or an apple core on the ground?

So where is all of this going. There are much larger an bigger issues that could apply here. What is your opinion.

A Vision of Violence

It has been said that:

"There is no excuse for domestic violence"

I would change this statement to read:

There is no excuse for any violence

Think about it as you are starting this action, stop, sit and contemplate what is about to happen. Who you love those that love you this action will change your and their life forever.

Who am I and why am I thinking like this?

I want to change, will you please help me. These are powerful questions. If they are put to you will you help?

Violence in any form is wrong. There is only one exception to this statement, when someone is in defense of another or self.

Thoughts of love

My thoughts on love are that:

It is much more than a term to be used, or to be taken lightly. Love in it's purest form is and outward expression of emotion not to be held back for any reason. Once it begins, love only flows in one direction, outward. When spoken you are expressing that you are more than willing to die for that individual or cause. You believe in them or the cause that much.

When you say that you love a person or a job, what you are really saying? You are there to give them protection, security and safety. You have just condensed the sentence in to a single word. Think of a Secret Service Agent he loves the Institution of the Presidency so much he declares under oath that he is willing die in defense of his job. Jesus, a soldier, a police officer, parents, they all have died or are willing to die for love.

Once the love begins to flow it cannot be turned off. there is no off valve. So the next time that this word is spoken or read have a conversation about it. Ask specifically are they truly ready to sacrifice their life to protect you or the cause, if not it is something else.

I wish all would come to know love in it's truest sense.
